I worked at the LA Times for 17 years in production graphics before moving to New Orleans and finishing my undergrad degree in English. From there I went to LSU for an MLIS, in the archival track. After finishing my Master's I moved to Vancouver, BC to pursue a PhD but returned to New Orleans in the aftermath of Katrina, feeling that was where I was needed/needed to be.
