I am a research and instruction librarian at Towson University outside of Baltimore, MD. Through an initiative begun by my university in a historically significant Baltimore city neighborhood, I began an oral history project in 2010. The project teaches fifth graders in a local school about the history of their neighborhood and pairs them with seniors in the neighborhood to learn about their shared pasts.
