I'm an associate professor of English at Temple University, specializing in the Long Eighteenth Century. My first book was _Ballad Collection, Lyric, and the Canon_ (Penn, 2007); right now, I'm in the early stages of the second, _Time for the Humanities: Competing Narratives of Value from the Scottish Enlightenment to the 21st Century Academy_. I figure anyone writing a book on the humanities should know more about the digital humanities than I do, and that's one reason I'm very happy to be attending THATCamp Philly. I also have some digital research and pedagogical projects in mind--on _The Beggar's Opera_, on Philadelphia in/as Text, and on the Scottish Enlightenment. But I have a LOT to learn first.
