I have always thought that "digital humanities" sounds like the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup of academe, and have the potential to bring out the best in both halves of the phrase. As a kid, acting in plays and programming in Applesoft BASIC were two of my favorite pastimes. I haven't played Galaga in ages, but I did just design a Space Invaders-themed broadside for a poem a friend wrote which will soon be printed in letterpress at the Press at Colorado College.
