I am a product manager at the California Digital Library, where I support various projects focused on increasing online access to archival and special collections materials. I took the winding route to digital libraries, given that I started my library career binding (and re-binding) books in the conservation lab. I don't really "do" technology, in the sense of coding; rather, I manage technical projects, translate technical information, and do the things that make technology relevant to and useful for people. My personal interests include reading 19th century novels and attempting to paint pet portraits.
