My academic background is in music composition and music theory. For two decades of my career I was a music librarian before taking on the role of Interim Librarian of Lamont Library at Harvard University from 2008 to 2010. My current job as Head of Maps, Media, Data and Government Information puts me in an exciting nexus of digital scholarship where interactive maps, visualization of data, and authoring with a variety of media are a growing and vital aspect of research, teaching and learning. On my agenda for this year is to begin learning to code in Java.
