My first “working” experience was as a student assistant in my elementary school library in Houston, Texas. After obtaining my BA from Southwestern University and working in several industries in the Houston/Galveston area including NASA and secondary education, I finally searched for and obtained a position in higher education at Oklahoma State University (OSU). While working in the library at OSU, I obtained a Master of Library Science degree from Emporia State University. I currently work in the G. Lamar Harrison Library at Langston University leading and managing all aspects of library public services. I am developing embedded librarian functions, policies and procedures as well as maintaining the library web page.
