I am a senior lecturer (associate professor) of Russian literature at University College London. I teach 19th- and 20th-century Russian literature, culture and intellectual history. I'm currently working on a book on the tradition of Russian carceral narratives, and I've also published extensively on Dostoevsky. I developed the web-based mapping project Mapping St Petersburg, and blog about my research at sarahjyoung.com.
