Before joining Duke in 2009 as its Knight Chair, I worked on investigative teams at the Washington Post, earning a Pulitzer Prize in investigative reporting and other awards along the way. I've been working for the past three years to bring new methods and techniques to the craft, through a group called the Reporters' Lab at Duke.
