I was born in Canton, Ohio and moved to Florida to attend Dr. Phillips High School when I was 13. At Dr. Phillips I was a member of the Center for International Studies Program with an emphasis on International Relations, but in my senior year became hooked on creating pottery and sculpture. Attending Stetson University, I began with Political Science classes, but quickly discovered that spending all night in the ceramics studio meant I should be an art major. I received two B.A. degrees from Stetson, one in art and one in education and continued on to receive my Masters in Educational Leadership from the Stetson Celebration campus. I have since taught elementary, middle and high school art studio courses and more recently began teaching art history at Oak Ridge High School. I use my ipad to download HD art images, to create keynote presentations for my students and it works extremely well.
