I am an 80 year old retired business executive who really wanted all his life to teach History at UNC but thought he had to get rich instead. Well, I did not get rich and here after 80 years I am back at UNC, out of my league academically but immersed in a study of historical slavery that is coming alive as a bridge to human understanding and personal redemption and loving it. In retirement I have found a way to publish one biography, a book of historical research, three historical novels and lead a research study that should survive me many years. My expectation is THAT Camp is the kind of sounding board that can wake even old synapse.
