I earned my MLS at Simmons College in 2005. Although my undergraduate background is in Political Science, I took English electives whenever I could and eventually took graduate-level English courses at Harvard Extension School. I use the knowledge I gained to inform my fiction writing in my spare time. If I could talk to my 17-year-old self, I'd tell her to pursue a career in the humanities. However, literature and other humanities fields continues to enrich my life on a personal level and I think makes me better at what I do for a living. I worked for six years as a reference and instruction librarian at Hesser College (now Mount Washington College) and I currently design and trouble-shoot custom catalogs for Ebsco's Discovery Solutions product. I maintain a love for an interest in teaching research skills and related technology tasks, and I'm looking forward to collaborating with academics who share the same passions.
