I am a philosophically trained digital humanist deeply interested in the changes we are experiencing in relation to epistemology--as a direct result of conditions of possibility that ensue from digital humanities. I am also interested in the German-Jewish dialectic, and am working toward fluency in Hebrew and Yiddish, having acquired fluency in German through living abroad for about ten years after college, where I taught, played music, and dated a lot of people who taught me about non-American ways of living, knowing, being. At UCLA I teach in the department of Germanic Languages, where I am editor-in-chief of New German Review, a journal of Germanic studies recently migrated to eScholarship, and pursuing a PhD.
