I am a history professor with an emphasis in the history of modern Europe, especially France. I am also interested in world history. I first became involved in digital history through a "Hypermedia and History" class I audited at U.C.L.A. in 1996, at a time when one had to code HTML by hand. I have been involved in a number of digital history conferences and one major project funded by the N.E.H. I have maintained an interest in digital history and am especially interested in the possibilities of spatial history through the use of Google Earth and other digital geography projects.
