I work on 18th-century British lit, the history and theory of the novel, narrative theory, and material culture studies. I teach both upper-level English courses in those fields, and composition and intor-to-the-major courses. I use basic tools in teaching and research: full-text databases of period texts and digital collections of images, mostly; for teaching I like Wikis and class blogs.
