I am currently the Assistant Editor of volume 8 of the Papers of Frederick Law Olmsted at the University of Virginia. I spend hours scouring Google books, but that is the extent of how technology is used for this project. Therefore, aside from Websites I have helped build in the past, all of my new media experience is self-motivated. I created Usehistory.net to be a forum for discussing how history is used and abused in daily life. It is currently, however, a vanity project where I talk about myself. I use my Usehistory Facebook page and @usehistorynet Twitter account to stir up a bit more discussion. I expect that my next project, after completing this volume of the Olmsted papers, will provide opportunities for me to delve more deeply into the digital humanities. At this point, I am not quite sure what the project will be.
