I first started in the humanities field when I joined the staff of the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. After a year there, I joined the staff of the Alabama Humanities Foundation. I am currently managing two public arts and humanities programs and working on developing a third. In both capacities I have always worked with youth audiences.
