I am teaching Japanese language in the Dept. of Languages, Literatures and Cultures and hold a Master's degree in Japanese linguistics and pedagogy. I'm interested in using technology like VOIP to enhance language learning and I have being doing eTandem learning to enable my students to speak Japanese with their conversation partners in Japan. My colleague Jennifer Hosek has created a web platform called LinguaeLive.ca where instructors can find collaborators and I've been involved in spreading the beauty of eTandem through the development and promulgation of the site.
