I earned my PHD from the Editorial Institute at Boston University in 2008. This graduate work was specifically focused on scholarly editing. I wanted to have a career producing scholarly editions, working in academic publishing and/or teaching textual studies. Since then, my jobs and projects have been as an editor for three different scholarly edition projects: The Papers of Frederick Law Olmsted, The Letters of Vernon Lee, and currently the Mark Twain Project. Also, along the way, I earned an MA in digital humanities so I could learn how to make digital editions. With this trajectory I never intended to be a tenure track professor and am very happy with my career.
