I entered grad school at Rutgers after spending many months in New Orleans after the hurricane, which sparked my interest in oral history and the public humanities in times of disaster. I subsequently completed a MA in Oral History at Columbia U, and now study US and Latin American history, modern times. I originally hail from Wisconsin, and still take pride in the cheese.
