I have been teaching literature and writing for over twenty years. My interests and teaching specialities embrace 19th- through 21st-century British literature, but I also teach courses in popular culture and genres. I've had students write group online novels in Detective Fiction and Serial Fiction courses, created hypertexts of Romantic poetry, and taught composition students how to analyze ads, movies, news, "albums," cultural icons (human and otherwise). I am working on a project on the Man Booker Prize and have been blogging reviews of all of the novels short-listed since the Prize's inception in 1969. Though my gaming skills may be best described as poor, I have beaten Pokemon Puzzle League.
