Officially, I am a Digital Services and Social Media Librarian. I think a lot about identifying innovative ways to jump start my library's digital impact in our (somewhat rural) community that reaches beyond the pro forma promiscuous gimmicks and marketing tools. Also, as a lapsed interdisciplinary humanities scholar in the field of Performance Studies, I wonder if there are opportunities within this position to actively promote (non-pandering) awareness and interest in the arts. Unofficially, I am a scholar of morbid medical history and any-and-all historical creepiness; world's fairs and sideshows; and performance art.
