I am an academic library administrator and faculty member, with background in American studies and history (PhD, MA and MLIS). I am currently working to put together the history and archive for a mid-twentieth century Florida Keys fishing camp that catered to both the rich & famous and the growing tourist population of that era. I would enjoy finding more examples and feedback on new user friendly open source digital archive systems (that can easily be virtually set up and hosted); and how historical preservation and interpretation can be extended to families with such records, to more easily get popular involvement in creating an online archive and website. This would support needed outreach to the local community there to help build the resources.
