I have studied Information science at the free university in Amsterdam, where I received my Master’s degree in Multimedia and Culture in 2007. After my study I worked as a software/information engineer at the Cadaster. After a year I went to the IISH where I started to work as an Information Analyst. This job fitted more to my interests and is also a very great extension of my study. During my study I learned everything related to IT inside the cultural heritage environment, which is the same environment as I am working in at the IISH. At the IISH I am responsible for all the requirements analysis and workflows for each project we are doing. Most projects are related to make our collection available for research and the outside world. Lately we are also experimenting with creating tools for research. These tools are related to full text search, entity recognition and visualizing data in different ways.
