As an English major (from a family of equally unemployable arts majors) and subsequently a librarian I am an enthusiast for humanities rather than a professional. Professionally I have been associated with library technology for my entire career. In my last position I was CIO of my campus and worked diligently to inspire projects on the academic side while fighting off the onslaught of ERP and telephony systems.
