In my research and teaching, I am a historical musicologist, specializing in cultural and historical developments of radio and sound recordings, especially in the UK and in the USA. In my work, I am Director of the Belfer Audio Archive, which is held within Syracuse University Libraries' Special Collections, and an Associate Professor in the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
