I began life as a filmmaker (with actual film!), then took a turn to film archivist, then audiovisual preservation specialist, then Information Technology Specialist at the Library of Congress and now I've settled in the wilds of Western Massachusetts at lovely Hampshire College as their first-ever full-time archivist. I like long walks by the beach, nightswimming, audiovisual codecs and containers (particularly Matroska) and the novels of one Mr. William Faulkner.
