Jonathan Schroeder is the William A. Kern Professor in the School of Communication at Rochester Institute of Technology. His PhD is from the University of California-Berkeley. He is the author or editor of 7 books, the latest Designed for Hi-Fi Living: The LP in Mid-century America (with Janet Borgerson) for MIT Press. He is editor at large of the interdisciplinary journal Consumption Markets & Culture, and organizes the biennial Kern Conference in Visual Communication.
