I am a doctoral candidate in Rhetoric and Composition at the University of Louisville. I research the recruitment strategies of colleges and universities, specifically how they target/silence certain literacies needed to obtain jobs and/or be successful in vocational programs that funnel into the fracking industry. I am also the Assistant Director of the Virtual Writing Center at U of L where I work exclusively with distance learners. Personally, I love to garden, read young adult fiction, watch Game of Thrones, and take boxing classes (yes, in a ring).
