I've been writing and researching on games, digital and otherwise, for my entire graduate career. I earned my MA at Northern Illinois University with a thesis on game narratives, and ran a semester with two colleagues using World of Warcraft as a metaphorical construct for our course, including student-created characters, class-based guilds, and so on. My class were budding necromancers (forging the souls of rhetoric), the other classes were pirate- and Tron-themed, respectively. I've collaborated on a Nintendo jukebox and a robot that insults users based on how close they are to it, both using Arduino. I own a ladder and an old oscilloscope named Laverne.
