Over the past five years I have worked very closely with directors and curators at a variety of national, local, and international humanities organizations. In these capacities I have gained extensive experience in project management, exhibition research, and content development within museums. This spring I will earn a master's degree in public humanities from Brown University. While my research interests lie in African American history and culture, I consider myself a generalist and enjoy participating in all aspects of exhibition development. My background in digital humanities includes basic experience with Omeka, wordpress/blogs, and other forms of social media. I am interested in attending THATCamp CHNM because I would like to increase my knowledge of these programs, and would like to learn how other professionals are using new media.
