Janneken is Content Specialist at Night Kitchen Interactive, a Philadelphia design firm specializing in websites and interactives for museums and cultural institutions. She has worked on projects for clients including the Thomas Jefferson Foundation (monticello.org), the Smithsonian Institution Archives, the National Museum of the American Indian, and the Gilder Lehrman Institute. Janneken earned her PhD in American Civilization from the University of Delaware, where her research focused on material and consumer culture. She also serves as secretary of the Alliance for American Quilts, a national non-profit that records, preserves, and shares the stories of quilts and quiltmakers using online technologies.
