I am a historian of technology at Texas A&M University. My book on the history of the fax machine from the 1840s to the present is forthcoming from Johns Hopkins University Press. Currently, I am researching failure and technology, fraudulent and frothy firms in emerging technologies, and the evolution of judging technological maturity. I am technologically behind the curve on Twitter, Web 2.0, and other ICT areas.
