I am 19 years old and began a mechatronics degree at Guilford Technical Community College last fall. I have wanted to become an inventor since I was young. I am taking an intro to automation class this semester and really like it. It has sparked my imagination and I want to learn more about this field. I am a novice in the GTCC Robotics Club and am learning Python to help program our robot we are building to compete in the MATE underwater robotics challenge this June. Social skills have always been a little difficult for me but discovering this niche has helped me find others who "speak my language."
