My graduate work is in fiction writing, but I also hold a BS in mathematics (hence the techno-humanist bent, I guess). I studied programming in college in the days of punch-cards that were fed into room-sized computers by technicians in white coats. I wasn't very good at programming, and I still don't know much about coding, html, CSS and all that jazz, but I have been a blogger since 2004. I teach freshman composition classes at a community college, with fairly tech-heavy slant that, to my surprise and dismay, some students continue to resist.
