I am a graduate student in the history department at UNC Chapel Hill. I am in my fourth year and am currently writing my prospectus and preparing to go abroad for research next year. My research explores how changing urban environments in Kazan, Russia, affected the practice and construction of national group identity among both Tatars and Russians. I am very interested in the intersection of humanities and technology but have little experience with it, although I have introduced a Twitter assignment in the class for which I am a TA this semester.
