I'm, on the one side, historian, working on Roman Inquisition, Galileo's trial, intellectual orthodoxy and conflicts, etc. On the other side, I learned database management, xml encoding, GIS use etc. with the aim of using this digital tools in scholar research and training of students. Inside the 'Pôle méthodes' of the CNRS research unity in Lyon of which I'm member, we propose courses or organize external trainings in this methods and have developed a cumulative and collaborative database system for collecting geo-historical information. Our project, which aims to develop not a specific software, but a methodology for historical reserach, is called Système modulaire de gestion de l'information historique (SyMoGIH). I participated to ThatCamp Paris 2010 and highly appreciate this kind of informal but very rich exchanges.
