I'm working on a PhD in Classics, studying the poetry of Homer, and I have a day job using computers to look for literary allusion in the Roman poet Lucan. In the past, I used to study ultraviolet light in river ecosystems. I feel it's within our reach to make higher education (even) better than it is today.
