Elonda Clay currently works as digital librarian/archivist at Phlander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas. She holds a masters degree in information science and learning technologies from University of Missouri-Columbia and has experience in digitizing cultural heritage (blackarchives.org), web development, and text mining. Her doctoral research on race and genetics in the media includes case studies on media representations of genealogy and DNA ancestry tracing and examines the formation of genetic identities and identifications through digital media. Clay was also the 2012-2013 National Student Director of the American Academy of Religion and has served on the AAR Board of Directors.
