I have an MA in Public History and have worked for 8 years or so as an archivist, specializing lately in visual materials. I've digitized, described, and posted archival photos online and built and managed digital collections. I was the primary author/editor of the processing blog "A View to Hugh" (http://www.lib.unc.edu/blogs/morton/) for 3 years. I'm interested in digital history, geolocation, mobile apps, social media, metadata repurposing.... I'm leaving my job as a visual materials archivist at UNC-CH and moving to DC in April, currently with no employment arranged. I want to take some reflective time to consider what's next for me -- i.e., new job or more school? I know I want to become more involved in the digital humanities, but am not sure how or in what capacity.
