I live in Newport RI, but I grew up in Massachusetts and spent six years living in Somerville, MA. I attended Lesley University, where I had the opportunity to spend a semester abroad studying on a Tall Ship. I lived and worked on the ship for 3 months, sailed over 6,000 nm, and had a life changing experience. Now, I work for a non-profit which is in the final stages of building a new Tall Ship - The Perry. As we fine tune our curriculum, I am intrigued to learn about others in the outdoor/experiential learning sector, and about their experiences teaching in that setting. Apart from sailing boats of all sizes, I am a runner, painter, writer, amateur cook, and love being outdoors, and having new experiences!
