I became a librarian in 1976 and have worked in an ad agency, public library, hospital, graduate school, museum, college, and research university. I have brought something from each job into what I'm doing today. In most of these positions, I either worked at an institution that was cutting edge in library technology, or it was my job to bring in the technology. Both experiences were exciting.
