I am the Free Library of Philadelphia's first Public Services Technology Library Coordinator. I am working on implementing ‘Hot Spots’ throughout the city–public computing centers in community organizations located in underserved areas of Philadelphia that provide free access to computers, broadband and trained computer assistants. The library is one of seven partners in this highly collaborative endeavor. The partnership finds its unique strength and deep reach in the intruiging and supportive blend of government, higher education and non-profit organizations.
