I graduated with a PhD from UNC with course work at both UNC and Duke. I worked for many years, prior to academics, as a critical care nurse in cardiology where I worked with a great deal of medical technology and research. That experience cemented my interest in the cultural uptake and use of technology. My research involves the crossing of ethnicity and technology.
