Joanna M. Champagne is the first Chief of Web and New Media Initiatives at the National Gallery of Art. The position was created to expand Gallery new media digital programs and lead an Enterprise level Web site redesign. Prior the National Gallery of Art Joanna was at the Smithsonian Institution for ten years. While at the Smithsonian she led four major Web redesigns, including SmithsonianEducation.org, which houses the Smithsonian’s first kids and Family Web sites. She has been working on Web sites, New Media and Video programs for fourteen years. Her work and produced projects have garnered a Peabody, two Webby Awards, Webby Honors, Web Marketing Awards, Muse Awards, and been featured in STEP Magazine’s Top 100, US News and World Report, USA Today and the Washington Post. http://www.joannachampagne.com
