I'm a graduate student in English at Vanderbilt, working on a dissertation about the mutual influence of zoology and literature in early twentieth century Britain. I don't have much of a background in digital humanities, other than a few experiments with course blogs and discussion boards (results were mixed), but I'm eager to learn. I think Zizek was probably right about Avatar.
