By day I'm Director of the Center for Writing Excellence at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. By night I'm...well, I end up doing a lot of work for the CWE at night, too. I'm a former reporter, editor, and tech writer who left the glamorous world of writing manuals for security software companies to go back to school. I got involved with writing centers via an interest in online writing centers and online collaboration (a couple of my diss chapters focus on these topics). And Galaga paled in comparison to Tempest. When I can't sleep, I sometimes make throwaway web pages to keep my JavaScript skills warm.
