Ann Sneesby-Koch active right now

Currently, I am a “Humanities Administrator” in the Office of Digital Humanities at the National Endowment for the Humanities. I am working on a special project to digitize the agency’s back catalog of grant application records dating from 1968 to 1979. I also contribute to the division’s website and Twitter feed. I have MS in Information Sciences from the University of Tennessee and an MA in Classics (Latin Literature) from the University of Maryland. Between graduate school, I was the Managing Editor at Ad Fontes, LLC, a publisher of digital libraries for the academic market. These digital libraries consisted of both digitized images and XML versions of rare, historical documents from the European Reformation period. This job was my first experience with the concept of digital scholarship and lit a keen interest in making special collections and otherwise inaccessible primary materials accessible, especially in digital formats. Further, I gained valuable insight into the importance of access to culturally and historically significant source documents for supporting humanities scholarship.
