I just completed my fourth year as a cultural studies professor at CSUN. I teach courses on the intersections between Black cultural theory, Hip-Hop, and digital technology. My current research interests include exploring the ways in which the digital humanities allow us to reconsider concepts such as race, place, diaspora and cultural production. I'm a "sonic archivist" who seeks any opportunity to incorporate music into my pedagogical and scholarly pursuits.
