I am an Assistant Professor of English at the University of Central Oklahoma. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, my Master's and Ph.D. in English Education. I taught English and English as a Foreign Language in secondary schools before my recent move into higher education. My husband is a Research Analyst at OU, using his proclivity for quantitative data mostly for good instead of evil. Our home is also inhabited by my teenage stepdaughter and the ruler of the house, our cat Lucy.
